Business Development Manager (H/F)

Candidate’s Role

As Business Development Manager, She/He supports the organization in market monitoring activities, the commercial structure in the development and training of the international sales network, and the technical and industrialization functions in the design of new solutions, and overall in the management of product lines initially assigned, and in particular:

  • GMP isolation systems for pharma and biotechnology with a strong modular connotation (sterility testing, containment, genetic and cellular therapies, small production batches…)
  • Hydrogen Peroxide decontamination generators and other gaseous/liquid solutions for decontamination of environments, surfaces and/or machinery;
  • Services and consumables for the validation of the decontamination process of environments, surfaces and/or machinery

 

Main responsibilities

Business Development (Place)

  • To contribute to the identification of market potential for own product lines. To gather information on competitors’ products and services, and to support the Marketing Manager in the elaboration of a market-product strategy and in the development-implementation activities of said strategy
  • To cooperate with the Pharma Sales Area Managers to achieve sales objectives:
    • Promoting the products and services, through the generation and maintenance of the technical and promotional documentation
    • Participating in the training of the international sales force
  • To support the sales force, international, with field presence for strategic projects and/or projects that requires strong specific expertise
  • To make field trips (c/o customers, suppliers, partners, Opinion Leaders) and to take part in industry events and trade shows

 

Product Management (Price and Product)

  • To cooperate with the technical and industrial engineering area in the identification of innovative methods and technologies for the development and implementation of products and services as well as in their validation. Undertake, based upon market feedbacks, to develop new standard options and functionalities, in order to constantly improve the offer
  • To cooperate with the technical area and external consultants in the elaboration and filing of patents to protect innovative solutions introduced into the market
  • To monitor product customizations requested by customers, constantly updating with the Sales department and interfacing with all other company functions involved
  • To cooperate with the Project Management and Service areas in the definition of validation and field validation protocols
  • To support the Marketing Manager in the elaboration of price lists, in the placement of new products on the market and in the definition and execution of phase-in & phase-out actions

 

Brand Empowerment (Promotion)

  • To supply the Communication & Event team with content for the company’s technical communication material
  • To support the Sales department and the Communication & Events management team for technical product communication and in the organization of internal and external, national and international events. To develop, in collaboration with the same people, the material and accessories for the promotion of the concerned products in the above-mentioned events
  • To promote company image through professional written and oral distribution of technical and promotional materials related to assigned products.

 

Requirements

Professional Experience/Academic Background

  • Solid direct experience in the pharmaceutical production environment (manufacturers and/or suppliers side)
  • Technical background with previous exposure to pharma process engineering and/or GMP capital equipment organizations
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the different pharmaceutical production processes and flows (e.g. OSD, sterile liquid, HPAPI…)
  • Experiences with GMP isolators and isolation technologies are welcome but not compulsory

  • Strong customer (either external and internal) and quality oriented attitudes
  • Decision making and problem solving driven by a methodical analysis with deep attention to cost/benefit ratio
  • Team player with negotiation capabilities and marked intellectual curiosity
  • Goal oriented, precise and organized in the daily activities
